How fast is the connection?

Extremely fast. Multiple service plans are available to meet your specific needs including plans speeds of 1/1 Gbps (upload and download!).

I have my own home network, can I keep the same configuration?

Yes.

We fully support existing home network configuration.

Our wireless WiFi repeater/bridge can be used to connect your existing home network to the Natural Wireless network, allowing you to enjoy the benefits of our property-wide Wi-Fi service.

How do I connect a device that does not have a browser (such as Amazon Alexa, Roku, etc.)?

Please send the WiFi MAC address to our Support Team or email us at support@naturalwireless.com and we will add the device to your account.  If you can’t find the WiFi MAC address, we will send you instructions of how to find the WiFi MAC address for your device.

How do I sign up for the service?

Our wireless signal is available throughout the building. This allows you to subscribe on-line whenever you want.

It’s very quick and easy to subscribe:

  1. Select the wireless network with the SSID called “nw.”
  2. Open a Web browser and enter http://joinnw.com in the URL window.

    IMPORTANT: Make sure not to use https for you will not be properly redirected to our Welcome Page.

  3. From our Welcome Page, select “View Available Plans and Subscribe.”
  4. Select a plan and enter your personal information, including email address and credit card information. (A proper email address is needed to receive your receipt and additional instructions).
  5. Our system will automatically bill your credit card for the Wi-Fi service. You can cancel the service by emailing support@naturalwireless.com.

That’s it! It’s so easy! Your account will be established, and you will be authorized to access the Internet through Natural Wireless.

Once I purchase, do I get a username and password for log-in?

No. Once you purchase our service, the unique information of your device’s network card is saved in our system. As long as your account is valid, the system will automatically allow your device to access the system.

Is the Natural Wireless network Secure?
All financial and banking transactions, as well as many other applications use SSL technology to secure the communication over all networks.

Also, when you subscribe to our Wi-Fi service, we direct you to our secure SSL site when making the transaction, insuring that your purchase is secure.

If you make use of a corporate VPN, all communications over the wireless network will be secure.

If you require additional security, a dedicated Router with WEP or WPA can be installed in your apartment. Please contact us for details.

I have more than 1 computer, how do I get these other computers to work with the Natural Wireless network?

After you complete your initial purchase, you will receive an email from us with an activation code and directions on how to register other computers to your account.

Devices are added and removed by using the Natural Wireless Welcome Page.

To add a new device to your account, simply connect to the wireless signal “NW”.

Open a Web browser and enter http://joinnw.com in the URL window.

IMPORTANT: Make sure not to use https for you will not be properly redirected to our Welcome Page.

Select the option – “Authorize This Computer”

Note: This is only to connect new device to your account.

The next page will prompt you to enter a valid last name, and Activation Code.

Your account’s Activation Code was sent to you by e-mail when the account was purchased.

If you do not remember your activation code, click at the bottom of the page to retrieve it.

Also, you can enter a Nickname for each of the devices you are adding to your account. This will help you identify the devices in the future.

After pressing the “Submit” button, you will receive the below screen confirming that the device has been registered and is ready to be used over the wireless network.

 

How can I find more about the service?
How do I connect a wireless printer to the system?

A wireless printer can be used with our system; however, a “private network” must be established to allow your devices to wirelessly print.

This private network will allow your devices to communicate and will be password-protected to ensure that only you have access.

You can purchase a wireless router of your own (we recommend a Netgear router) and connect it to the system via a Repeater provided by Natural Wireless.

A refundable deposit for the Repeater is required. The deposit will be refunded as soon as the Repeater is returned in good condition.

An appointment must be set up with Natural Wireless for a technician to program the repeater and ensure it has a good connection to the system.

There is no charge for the visit!

What types of devices does your system support?
Our system is compatible with any device that supports Wi-Fi connection such as: Windows, Apple, Android, Google, Sonos, Amazon Fire, Roku, etc.
How can I connect devices that are not wireless?

Devices that do not have a wireless connection but do have an Ethernet port can be easily connected to the Natural Wireless system.

We will provide you with a repeater that picks up our wireless signal and converts it to an Ethernet connection, all at no cost to you.

A refundable deposit for the Repeater is required. The deposit will be refunded as soon as the Repeater is returned in good condition.

An appointment must be set up with Natural Wireless for a technician to program the repeater and ensure it has a good connection to the system.

Once the repeater is configured and installed by one of our technicians, you will be able to connect these devices to the active Ethernet port in the repeater. Your device will be online.

I have an AOL e-mail account. Can I keep using it?

Yes. You can keep using the e-mail account that you already have.

If you are using an e-mail account with a dedicated Internet provider (i.e., Verizon, RCN, Time Warner), it is recommended that you obtain a free email account from Google, Yahoo, or MSN and switch over. These e-mail accounts will assure that your e-mail address will be the same no matter who you use as your broadband provider.

I want to sign up with Natural Wireless — Do I need any equipment to be installed?

No. The WiFi network was preinstalled in the building. You can sign up and get online immediately. In some cases, after you signup, we may suggest installing an additional device in your apartment to improve your wireless signal to increase the speed. Appointments are free of charge and no monthly fee for the equipment.

How do I pay for this service? How am I billed?
A valid credit card is required to subscribe to our service. During the on-line signup process, you will be asked for a Visa, MasterCard or American Express card number (Your credit card and personal information is secured and transmitted over a secure SSL connection). Once you subscribe, you will automatically be billed quarterly in advance until you e-mail us a notice to terminate your subscription.

A valid email account is required to receive receipts and notices from us. Bills, notices and receipts are not sent via US regular mail.

How do I use IP telephone service over the wireless Internet system?
Natural Wireless fully supports IP telephony, such as Vonage, that offer unlimited calls in the US, Canada, and International countries from your home and mobile phones.
My iPhone/iPad used to work with the service but now I am asked to sign-up with the device again. How do I fix it?

As recently reported and to enhance its privacy measures, Apple has added a new feature to iOS 14 called “Private Address” that works with your Wi-Fi connections and effects iPhone, iPads and watches devices.

This feature generates a new and different Wi-Fi MAC address each time you connect to a wireless network with your devices, and by default, this feature is Enabled.

 Unless disabled, this will cause access issues since our system uses Wi-Fi MAC addresses to determine system access and authorization. When our system identifies an unknown Wi-Fi MAC address, access is denied and when you open your Web browser, you will be asked to purchase an account or authorize your device using your access code.

This issue can be easily corrected by disabling the “Private Address” feature for each of the Natural Wireless networks (i.e., SSID) you connect to. You will only need to do this one time but for each different Natural Wireless SSID you use.

 For example, if you are connecting to the wireless network called “nw” in your apartment and “nw_gym” while in the gym, you must disable this feature for each of these networks. Fortunately, you will only need to do this once for each network. Once you disable this feature, it will remain disabled for each specific wireless network until enabled again.

 

Below you will find the steps to turn it off and continue using our wireless network.

Please remember this feature needs to be disabled for each different Natural Wireless network you may be connecting to — nw, nw_gym, nw_roof, etc.

  1. Open the Settings app, then tap Wi-Fi.
  2. Tap the information button (i) next to a network that you want to join.
  3. Tap Private Address. If your device joined the network without using a private address, a privacy warning explains why.
  4. Turn off the private address 

The last step is to disconnect from the network and then rejoin.
